Wests Tigers show resilience to defeat Penrith Brothers

The Wests Tigers have shown resilience after coming off a 20–nil loss last week to defeat the Penrith Brothers 26-6 at Hickeys Park Rugby League Complex.

Wests Tigers winger Ana Fekeila, opened up the scoring in the sixth minute of the match before her teammates Jackie-Anne Tahu and Tangikina Hanisi closely followed extending the lead 18-nil.

Botille Vette-Welsh finished of the first half in style for the Tigers scoring just before half-time to give the Tigers a dominant 20-point lead.

The Tigers were impressive in defence, before letting their guard down in the 58th minute as the Penrith Brothers went over to score their only try of the game through second rower, Bianca Beale with Vannesa Fletcher successfully converting.

The Wests Tigers will play against the Mounties next week, as Penrith Brothers will be looking for their first win of the season as they come up against Saint Marys.
