Soward Says: Souths are in good form. This is the side that has been the best and most consistent in the competition. Billy Brittan and Tom Amone have been outstanding to start the year but it’s their halves Dean Hawkins and Connor Tracey that pull all the strings. For the Panthers, no Caleb Aitkins in the teamlist, so he may be in first-grade this week. They (Panthers) are inconsistent in what they’re trying to do and being ill-discipline in completing the ball. Rabbits by 6.

Soward says: This is a tough one. You look at the Dragons who have been playing awesome without captain Darren Nichols, but this North Sydney side is a serious threat in the competition. They’ve been in some tough games and they continue to turn up for each other. I think Brock Lamb and Lachlan Lamb certainly combine well. Draw.

Soward says: An important clash for both sides. The experiment with Patrick Herbert back to fullback looked like it was going to pay off last week when they conceded a big lead to the Mounties, the best side. The Bulldogs didn’t have enough points in them last week, leaking lots of easy tries. Warriors by 2.

Soward says: Wests have been in good form without Josh Reynolds. I like that they’ve got hard workers in the middle, with Tyson Gamble being outstanding and Nofoaluma adding some first-grade experience. The Jets need to complete sets, if they can do this and give Trindall and Flanagan the opportunity to build pressure that’ll make this a tight game and let them bounce back. Jets by 1.

Soward says: Wenty have surprised me, I tipped them down the bottom because I was worried about their depth, but they’ve certainly shown that they can be competitive in games – Bevan French being a big part of that. I’ve been disappointed with the Knights, Tautau Moga needs to get his hands on the ball. Wentworthville by 2.

Soward says: The Mounties have been outstanding to start the year and will continue to roll. They’ve got a really deep squad in terms of guys that come back and play. Looking at the halves, it’s a good competition between Hingano and Sezer verse Hodkinson and Croker. Trent Hodkinson brings a lot to the Blacktown squad with his kicking game and his direction. Mounties by 10.
