14th member of 2017 Under-20s team to make NRL debut

Billy Magoulias becomes the 14th player to make his NRL debut in the Danny Buderus-coached 2017 NSW Under-20s Origin team.

22-year-old Magoulias has been named on the Cronulla Sharks bench by John Morris in tonight’s important clash against the North Queensland Cowboys.

He will wear number 17, the same number he wore in that Under-20s Origin game where they overcame a 10-point deficit to win 30-16.

Cameron Murray was the captain of that team, and the 12 other players who have played NRL are Nick Meaney, Jesse Ramien, Curtis Scott, Reuben Garrick, Jai Field, Victor Radley, Reece Robson, Blake Lawrie, Jack Murchie, Nat Butcher, Emre Guler and Ray Stone.

Magoulias joins that list tonight in a must-win game for the Sharks to keep in touch with the top eight.
