Soward says: The Panthers at home is an advantage and they will be without Spencer Leniu and Matt Burton who are making their NRL debut. Last week they lost a tight one and they are playing a team in the Newtown Jets who have their season on the line this weekend. It's going to e a cracking game and netown will be steaming after they lost in the dying stages last week. I think the Jets may come away with a victory by 2.

Interchange for Bears is number 18 Daniel Fifita

Soward says: The Dragons have a lot of their changes in their squad but their best side is when Adam Clune is in the team. They need some control and quality on the left-edge and he provides exactly that. The Bears need to be better than last week after letting a 10-nil lead slip and I'm sure they will be looking for their halves in Lachlan lam and Drew Hutchison to close out the game if it comes to that. I think the Dragons will be too good though. Dragons by 2

Soward says: Wentworthville are still holding on with faint hopes of making the top 8. Without Bevan French, it has hurt their season after he was a big part of everything they did in attack. They play a Newcastle Knights outfit who are needing to win and wanting to win to stay away from the bottom of the ladder. Both these sides will compete –Wenty are desperate for a finals spot but with the Knights trying to staying away from the spoon I've got them to win in an upset. Newcastle by 4.

Interchange for Bulldogs is number 17 Jesse Marschke
  • Interchange for Mounties is number 23 Royce Hunt
Interchange for Bulldogs is number 20 Samuel Radovu

Soward says: This is a big game for the Mounties after losing five games in a row and they really need to bounce back. Obviously, the result will hurt them if they lose but they need their intensity, effort and energy to be there against a very, very good Bulldogs side. They have a wealth of the first-grade talent in their squad and their combinations are starting to show their calibre. I can't see them losing here, Bulldogs by 12.

Interchange for Warriors is number 15 Preston Riki
  • Interchange for Rabbitohs is number 20 Kell O'Brien
Interchange for Warriors is number 17 Phillip Makatoa

Soward says: The Rabbitohs have had slow starts in the last two weeks and Shane Millard will want to address that and get that 'dipping their toe in the water' mentality out of their game. They are mirroring their first-grade side in my opinion but will be out to bounce back against a Warriors side who are making a late surge for the finals with three wins in a row. This is going to be a cracking game but think the Rabbitohs have too much class, particularly with their back-row which is the best in the competition. Rabbitohs by 12.

Soward says: Blacktown Workers will be looking to play spoiler once again as they look for back-to-back wins.  With their best side they can compete every week and you have to feel sorry for Steven Hales and his men who haven't had a consistent squad with injuries. For me, Magpies need to win this game to stay in touch with the top 8 but it's also a game they should win. I think they will come away in a tight one. Magpies by 6.
