Soward Says: The Warriors obviously need to overturn a big deficit and need some results to go their way if they’re going to make the top eight. It’s always hard going into a game knowing you need to win by a certain amount of points because that can often derail your performance and you don’t play to your usual standard. Wests Magpies will be looking to go over Auckland and finish what’s been a tough back end to the season on a bright note but I still think the Warriors will get it right. Warriors by 16

Soward says: The Bulldogs were surprise losers last week and they’ll be looking to bounce back ahead of possibly playing the Dragons twice in two weeks if they go on to meet them in the finals. The Bulldogs need to have a big game because it’s a finals game coming early and the Dragons are still working out what’s going to be their best line-up. They have Tristan Sailor in first grade at fullback which gives Matt Dufty an opportunity to shine but I’m still tipping the Bulldogs to bounce back. Bulldogs by 4.

Soward says: It would be fantastic to see the Jets in the finals because I’d be lying if I said I didn’t have a soft spot for them. I love the atmosphere whenever I go to Henson Park and it’s great to see a small club always put on a great show. It’s also great to see Kyle Flanagan back for the Jets because he holds all the cards to how far they can go in the premiership race. The Knights are waiting for the season to be over because it’s been a tough back end for them so I think Newtown will put on a show for their fans. Jets by 20

Soward says: This is a tough one because the Bears were outstanding last week. I still have an issue with their starts to the second halves and they’ll be hoping to tidy that up because that’s been the biggest concern about their recent form. Mounties had a lean run after dropping six games but have now bounced back after winning their last three matches. It’s going to be a big game and I’m going to tip Mounties to spring an upset. Soward says: This is a big game for both sides. Wenty can’t lose by more than a certain amount of points and the Rabbitohs want to win the Minor Premiership. I think the Rabbitohs will be looking for a professional effort ahead of a finals game next week knowing they don’t want to carry in a loss to a game they can potentially win. Wenty coach Rip Taylor has done an amazing job with them this year, I think they’ve overachieved, but they’ll have to be good to hold on to that last spot. But the Rabbitohs should be too strong and I’m tipping them to go on with the job. Rabbitohs by 12

Soward says: I feel sorry for Sea Eagles coach Steve Hales because he works hard and hasn’t had a full squad to choose from for most of the year. In saying that he’s still shown what he can do as a coach at the back end of the season to congratulations to him and to Blacktown for getting some good results over the last couple of weeks. Penrith were awful last week, they didn’t turn up with any energy or enthusiasm and I think coach Guy Missio would be very frustrated with the way his side is playing. I thought their forwards were outmuscled last week and they won’t get it all their own way this week but I think they’ll bounce back. Panthers by 8
