Between the Posts is your weekly update of what’s happening in the lives of our past, present and future Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues players.
Cotric turns the big 2-1
Raiders winger Nick Cotric celebrated his 21st Birthday on the weekend in style, alongside Origin teammate James Tedesco and fellow Canberra boys.
The pair weren’t the only stars present at the festivities, DJ’s Sunset Bros also made an appearance to party alongside Nick and play some bangers for the crowd.
Wighton receives special honour
Even though the 2019 NRL season is over, many are still wowed over the achievements of Jack Wighton this year and the accolades keep coming as a result.
Wighton was awarded Male Sportsman of the Year at the Dreamtime awards, a ceremony which recognises excellence for First Nation people from across the country.
A well-deserved honour for our star centre!
Cam sharing the love
Blues lock Cameron Murray has been out-and-about this week, spending time with some familiar faces.
Murray and fellow bunnies celebrated all things Sutton and his illustrious 16-year-long career at the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Sutton retired this after 2019 season and is an icon of the club, who played alongside many former, current and future Blues in the red and green.
Damien Cook’s baby girl Willow also got a special visit from Murray who was gifted a cuddle from the newly-born bub.
We’re not sure if Willow or Cam is the luckiest person in this situation but either way, it’s a sweet moment to be captured.

Matto’s new colours
Big Ryan Matterson commenced pre-season with the blue and gold this week, after signing a three-year deal back to his original junior club.
The second-rower will be surrounded by current, former and Emerging Blues Blake Ferguson, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, Clint Gutherson and Mitchell Moses at Parramatta, a club that proved the most improved and determined in 2019.
We wish Matto the best of luck for next year!
