NSW Stars throw their suport behind bushfire victims
As bushfires continue to ravage across the east coast of Australia in a devastating start to 2020, plenty of players in the Rugby League community have thrown their support behind the bushfire appeal.
Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues stars James Tedesco, Mitchell Pearce, Jake and Tom Trbojevic, Nathan Cleary, Cameron Murray, Angus Crichton and Victor Radley are amongst many who have selflessly donated their prized playing jerseys from their respective careers to raise much-needed funds for those who were affected.
Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Origin captain Kezie Apps and team-mate Millie Boyle visited Cobargo, Boyle’s hometown, to support various relief efforts in the bushfire-stricken area.
Soward, Reynolds star in Sydney Kings All Stars charity game
It was a different format that True Blues Jamie Soward and Adam Reynolds are used to but their efforts in the Sydney Kings All Stars charity match on Saturday 11 January proved worthwhile.
Not because of Soward’s inspirational block and handful of assists, or Reynolds’ smooth three-pointer in the opening minutes , but rather the funds it raised for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Soward led the initiative with Anthony Mundine, Timomatic, and Nick Davis amongst the celebrities to take part.
