The 2020 NSW Wheelchair Rugby League season commences this Sunday 2 February at Menai Indoor Sports Centre with blockbuster fixtures set to launch an exciting new campaign.
As a result of greater participation in recent years, this season will see two new additions to the competition, with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles joining Tier Two, along with Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs who make a welcome return after a two-year absence.
The St George Illawarra Dragons will be searching for their third straight premiership, while Minor Premier Wests Tigers will look to avenge their heart-breaking defeat in last year's Grand Final with a rematch in the opening round of the competition.
Director Joseph believes the new season will provide the perfect opportunity for young players to make their mark in Rugby League.
"I think the best story is the young kids who never have really got an opportunity to play Rugby League due to their disability but now they get to play and that gives us the best satisfation," he said.
Squad announcements will be made tonight (Friday 31 Janurary) following a live draft at the 2020 season saunch, with each player unaware of what team they will represent with players selected at random.
