NSW Challenge Cup kicks off around the state

2018 NSW Challenge Cup champions Dubbo CYMS got off to a perfect start after downing Moree Boomerangs in the opening round of the knockout competition this weekend, while defending champions Guildford had their game postponed due to wet weather.

The competition has grown to 18 teams in 2020 with more than $30,000 in prize money up for grabs including $15,000 for the winner.

Other results from Week One saw the Cessnock Goannas take down Group 4 premiership heavyweights North Tamworth Bears 40-0 while the Asquith Magpies defeated the Wyong Roos 20-12 at Cessnock Sports Ground.

The NSW Challenge Cup showcases talent from all over the state, whilst giving teams a chance to compete against different opposition, with the final to be played in June at a venue to be determined.
