Soward's prediction: I will be interested to see how Tex Hoy goes at five-eighth, that might be a long-term solution for the Knights if they struggle with Kurt Mann. The Warriors side have a lot of unknowns to start the year but they have power. Warriors by 2.

Soward's prediction: I want to see whether Matt Burton comes back and partners Tyrone May in the halves, which I’m expecting. Brendan Hands was sharp in the trials out of dummy-half so I am looking forward to watching him also.

However, an impressive Bears side has been named with a lot of depth, in particular Poasa Faamausuli in the front row. In saying that, Panthers by 4.

Soward's prediction: Dylan Phythian and Luke Metcalf are real quality here for the Blakcktown side. It’s exciting to see some of those guys out on the field. Mounties started the season great last year and fell away at the tail-end.

When you have quality halves like Frawley and Willams, you’re going to go a long way in the competition, but I think home advantage will be too big an advantage for the Workers. Blacktown by 6.
