The NSWRL was saddened to hear of the sudden passing of former Mounties, Canberra Raiders and Brisbane Broncos hooker Mitch Cronin, aged 27, in Brisbane on 17 April 2020.

Cronin played 23 games for Mounties in 2015 after making three appearances for the Raiders at the NRL 9s in 2014.

He played in the Canberra system for many years under the guidance of David Furner.

Cronin had spent the past five years with the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls in the Queensland Cup and captained them to the 2019 Grand Final.

The NSWRL sends our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
