The Roosters were one of the most successful teams in the 2019 competition, however, their dream run came to end deep into the finals in week three when they were defeated 22-12 by grand finalists the Canberra Raiders.

#5

Roosters number five try

Their number five try came from some quick thinking from winger Bayleigh Bentley-Hape, who spotted a gap in the defence and strolled past the Warriors fullback to score a fantastic solo try.

#4

Roosters number four try

Their number four try was against the Penrith Panthers in Week One of the finals series and front rower Reihana Marsh showed some great individual skill to get the ball down.

Halfback Jake Hazard put in a grubber behind the goal line on fifth tackle and Marsh was chasing through and jumped mid-air, juggled the ball while fending off Penrith players and put the ball down one-handed for an excellent try.

#3

Roosters number three try

This silky piece of play against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in Round two comes in number three in our countdown.

Hooker Freddy Lussick shifted the ball to the left hand side of the field and Christian Tuipulotu put in a grubber kick for his winger Cameron Hall just as he was about to get tackled and caught it on the fly to give it off to Harrison Edwards to score their first points of the afternoon.

#2

Roosters number two try

The Roosters number two try in our countdown had centre Bayleigh Bentley-Hape channelling Tom Trbojevic in Origin II last year when he leapt up to catch a bomb the North Sydney Bears put up and then he was away.

He managed to run 30 metres before being taken out of play, however, he put in a long grubber kick for Coby Thomas who was looming on the inside and picked up the ball to touch down in the corner and score the Roosters final try of the match.

#1

Roosters number one try

The Roosters number one try was scored through some hot potato football against the Panthers in Week One of the finals.

It all started with an offload on tackle four from lock Luca Moretti and halfback Jake Hazard ended up with the ball.

He palmed off a few defenders to get into space and held the ball up perfectly before putting in a grubber for his fullback McKenzie Baker who plucked the ball seamlessly from the air and scored under the sticks.
