Tickets on sale for Gala Finals Day at Leichhardt

The NSWRL will live stream three games across three different competitions on a bumper Finals weekend for the code, which will also include four matches at the historic Leichhardt Oval and another home final at Maitland No.1 Sportsground.

With only one week to go until the NSWRL’s gala Grand Final Day at Bankwest Stadium, there will be five Elimination Semi-Finals to determine which clubs go through to the deciders for the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership, the Presidents Cup and the Sydney Shield.

“The month of September has always been an exciting one for the game of Rugby League and there is no shortage of action for fans to choose from this weekend,” NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden said.

“The NSWRL is committed to our great game right across the state and that is reflected this weekend with matches being staged in Sydney and across regional NSW. We have made the decision to live stream some games so fans can catch all the action as numbers are restricted due to COVID-19.

“I would remind all fans to observe social distancing guidelines and I hope you enjoy what is shaping up to be a fantastic weekend of finals footy.”

The action will kick off at Leichhardt Oval at 11am on Saturday 19 September with the Sydney Shield Elimination Semi-Final between defending premiers Ryde-Eastwood Hawks (1) and Helensburgh Tigers (4). They will face the winner of Cronulla-Caringbah Sharks (2) and Belrose Eagles (3) who will round off a tremendous day of action at 6.30pm.

The Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership is the premier competition in the state for women and provides a direct pathway to the NSW Women’s Origin team. Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks (2) will face off against the North Sydney Bears at 1.30pm at Leichhardt Oval with the winner to face Minor Premier Central Coast Roosters who are already through to the Grand Final. The match will also be live streamed on the NSWRL Facebook page.

The final match at Leichhardt Oval will be the Presidents Cup clash at 4pm between Glebe-Burwood Wolves (2) and North Sydney Bears (3). They will face the winner of Minor Premier Maitland Picker (1) and Hills District Bulls (4) at 3.15pm at Maitland No.1 Sportsground with all the action from that match to be live streamed on the NSWRL Facebook page.

The focus will shift to the Group 9 competition on Sunday 20 September at 2.30pm with the Elimination Semi-Final between the Young Cherrypickers and Tumut Blues at Twickenham Oval also to be live streamed on the NSWRL Facebook page.

Ticket sales are available for the matches at Leichhardt Oval but the NSWRL would like to remind fans that there are only a limited number of tickets due to COVID-19 restrictions and it is important to pre-purchase your ticket by clicking here.
