The State of Origin series is less than a month away but Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues coach Brad Fittler will make a special trip to Griffith on Monday 12 October to host a football clinic for boys and girls of all ages.
The clinic, which will be held a week before Fittler heads into camp, will be at Southside Leagues Club (side oval) at 4pm. It is important for anyone wishing to attend to register their interest by clicking here as numbers are limited in line with social distancing guidelines for COVID-19.
“I’m really looking forward to this year’s State of Origin series and the chance for the Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues to defend the Shield but I’m just as passionate about Rugby League across our great state and I always look forward to getting out and seeing our fans,” Fittler said.
“I’m a big kid at heart so I always enjoy being a part of clinics with our youngest fans and I encourage everyone to come down and be a part of it on Monday.”
Fittler has already named six players for his extended Origin squad including Payne Haas (Brisbane Broncos), Cameron McInnes, Tyson Frizell, Zac Lomax (St George Illawarra Dragons), Jake Trbojevic (Manly Warringah Sea Eagles) and Daniel Saifiti (Newcastle Knights).
The squad will be added to every Sunday as more teams are eliminated from the NRL’s finals series and will come into camp on 19 October.
The opening game of the State of Origin series will be played at Adelaide Oval on 4 November, Game Two will be at ANZ Stadium in Sydney on 11 November and Game Three will be at Suncorp Stadium on 18 November.
