Freddy Lussick got a solid taste of NRL in 2020 when young guns Sam Verrills and Victor Radley went down with ACL injuries in the same game and regular hooker Jake Friend needed his workload managed.
He made his NRL debut in Round 15 against the Wests Tigers where he came off the bench and got a small taste with a 10-minute stint.
The next week Jake Friend came off the field in the 13th minute and Lussick was required to play out the remaining 67 in the Roosters’ 58-12 thumping of the Brisbane Broncos.
He started his first NRL game the next week in Sonny Bill Williams’ return against the Canberra Raiders where he played 80 minutes.
Lussick’s only defeat in the NRL so far has come at the hands of the Penrith Panthers’ in the first week of finals.
He is currently training with the Roosters, but it isn’t confirmed where he will actually play in 2021.
