Hilder arms women and girls for future

More than 40 girls attended the Harvey Norman Women and Girls Tag and Tackle Clinic at Albion Park over the weekend supporting the Illawarra Group 7s new tackle competition for 14 and 16-year-old girls.

The participants were guided through safe landing and tackle techniques along with other fundamental skills of the game with NSWRL Women’s players Kezzie Apps and Keeley Davis providing encouragement and support in beginning their Rugby League journeys.

Running in conjunction to the clinic, 20 local coaches were armed with resources and ideas to take back to their teams from a Coaching the Female Athlete Forum headed up by Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Origin coach Kylie Hilder, Jillaroos coach Brad Donald and Jillaroos strength and conditioning coach Simon Buxton.
