Trbojevic suffers injury in five star performance

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles fullback Tom Trbojevic has suffered a cheekbone injury during Saturday night’s 56-10 win over the Parramatta Eels.

The injury appeared to occur in a collision with teammate Jason Saab late in the match before the No.1 left the field in the 74th minute, but the Sea Eagles have cleared Trbojevic of anything serious.

“Fullback Tom Trbojevic also suffered a knock to the cheekbone,” a club statement read.

“Fortunately, the hit was on a plate that he has from a previous fracture which prevented a serious injury from occurring.”

“Tom has some swelling and bruising around the site.

“He will be given every chance to prove his fitness for next Friday night’s match against the Canberra Raiders.”

In the Round 22 victory over the Sea Eagles, Trbojevic scored a try, had four try assists, two line breaks, five line break assists and five tackle breaks, and ran for 187 metres.
