Dragons re-sign the talented Feagai twins

St George-Illawarra Dragons have announced that exciting youngsters Mat and Max Feagai have re-signed with the club until the end of the 2024 season.

The twins have been part of the Dragons set-up since they were 13, and were part of the Illawarra Steelers 2019 SG Ball Cup Grand Final win that also featured Jayden Sullivan, Tyrell Sloan and Junior Amone.

Both play in the outside backs with Max making his NRL debut in Round 19, 2020 against Newcastle Knights and Mat following suit in Round 9, 2021 against Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Making Mat’s debut all the more special was the fact he was able to share it alongside his brother, marking the first and only game they have played together in the top grade. The Dragons would go on to have a resounding 32-12 victory that week with Mat topping it off with his first try in the NRL.

“The Dragons have been a big part of both our lives,” Mat told dragons.com.au.

“We were both keen on staying beyond this season.

“I’ve had a taste of first grade now and I want to continue playing week-in week-out. That will be what I’ll be working towards this pre-season and beyond.

“Hopefully I’ll be able to play a lot more games alongside my brother Max too.”

Max added: “We often talk about how special an opportunity this has been at the Dragons.
