The NSWRL congratulates Life Member of Tumut Blues and the Group Nine competition, Raymond “Dossie” Carr, after he was announced by the Snowy Mountains Council as 2022 Citizen of the Year for his longstanding service to the local community.

Carr has selflessly given his services to Rugby League and the broader the community for over five decades, being heavily involved with the Tumut club since 1966.

Now an active member of the Tumut Rugby League Old Boys, the man affectionately known as “Dossie” has been part of the Tumut Town Band, Tumut Traffic Committee and the Racecourse Trust, as well as the former Secretary and President of Snowy Mountains Car Club.

Carr remains focused on the continued development of his local Rugby League club, including his recent efforts for funding towards facility upgrades for Twickenham Oval.

Carr is an esteemed member of the community and has been deservedly rewarded for his lifelong commitment to the Snowy Mountains region.
