Kaiviti Silktails scored with 10 seconds left on the clock to clinch a thrilling 36-34 win over Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles in the Ron Massey Cup match at Windsor Sporting Complex.
The two sides traded tries in the opening exchanges before Blacktown crossed for two tries before half-time to take a 16-10 lead into the break.
The Sea Eagles scored again when play resumed to extend their lead to 20-10 before the Silktails laid on three tries in the space of seven minutes to turn the game on its head.
Blacktown centre Jermaine Ma’u scored two consecutive tries to level the scores up at 28-all with only 10 minutes remaining. The Sea Eagles kept the momentum going with another try to take a six-point lead with time fast running out.
The Silktails scored with four minutes remaining to give themselves some hope at 34-32. They then forced an error off the Sea Eagles with a neat kick before shifting the ball from one side of the field to the other to score a try and snatch a memorable try.
Talking points
The battle between the two forward packs was entertaining some bone-rattling defence and great attacking plays within the middle-third of the field.
Sea Eagles five-eighth Dylan White was superb in a beaten side. His in-field kicking game was impressive after he set up a try, forced repeat sets, and put pressure on the back three for the Silktails.
The Silktails showed off their skills with some smart offloading, quick ball movement, and select passes to secure the win.
Key moment
In a match full of momentum swings and plays, the defining moment came in the last 10 seconds when the Silktails shifted the ball through the hands for Sirilo Iovokuro to cross for a try in the far corner.

The Silktails face the Glebe Dirty Reds at Henson Park on Saturday afternoon while the Sea Eagles will face Ryde-Eastwood Hawks at H.E. Laybutt Sporting Complex.
