NSWRL TV Preview | Bears and Jets in top four clash

The much-anticipated top-four clash between the Newtown Jets and North Sydney Bears will be live streamed on NSWRL TV this weekend.

The Round 19 feature game of The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup is on Saturday 3pm at Henson Park and is expected to be free-flowing football at its best.

Competition leaders the Jets have 12 wins compared with 10 wins for the fourth-placed Bears.

Bears centre Adam Keighran is the leading point scorer for the competition with 129 from six tries, 52 goals and a field goal; while winger Tom Carr tops the try scorer list with 16 and the line-breaks (24).

Jets centre Kayal Iro is way out in front of the rest of the NSW Cup pack with 1,154 post-contact metres, while fullback-five-eighth Lachie Miller is the competition leader for tackle-busts with 107.

Throw all that into the one mix and it should be an attacking game of Rugby League game by any yardstick.

The fact this game is at the spiritual home of the ‘Blue Bags’ – Henson Park – may also have some bearing since Newtown has a six-one record at the venue this year.
