Matthew Doorey has signed with the Parramatta Eels effective immediately until the end of the 2024 season.
Doorey came through the Eels pathways systems before making the switch to Western Sydney rivals Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs where he debuted in the NSW Cup in 2019.
Doorey progressed to make his NRL debut the following year in Round 14 against Wests Tigers, where he capped off a memorable debut with a runaway try.
After playing 13 NRL games throughout 2021 and five games for Mounties in The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup, Doorey was cruelly struck down by an ACL injury which ended his season prematurely.

Throughout 2022, Doorey played 10 games in The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup, including the Bulldogs heartbreaking Grand Final loss against the Panthers.
He finished with two tries, three linebreaks, two linebreak assists and 68 running metres per game.
Doorey will give the Eels some much needed depth in the second-row position, after both Marata Niukore and Isaiah PapaliāI signed to the Warriors and Tigers respectively.
