True Blue Kennedy Cherrington and two-time winning NSW State of Origin Under 19s hooker Rueben Cherrington have re-committed to the Parramatta Eels in long-term deals.
Kennedy (pictured below), who has played three Origin games for NSW (2021-2023) has re-signed until 2027, while younger sister Rueben's contract will run to the end of 2026.

Rueben (pictured below: NRL Photos) was part of the 2021 and 2022 NSW sides that won back-to-back State of Origin Under 19s shields at the Sunshine Coast and Leichhardt Oval.
The sisters are about to enter their fourth season together at the Eels – it will be Kennedy’s fifth as she was a foundation member of the NRLW team when it entered the competition in 2021.

They have also played together for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership, including the club’s historic Grand Final in 2023 which Mounties won 1-0.
And they were selected to play in the Prime Minister’s XIII in September 2023.
Kennedy said she and Rueben wanted to help the Eels return to finals football. They lost the 2022 decider to the Newcastle Knights.
"I’m beyond excited to remain with the Eels for the next few years," Kennedy told parraeels.com.au.
"Having played for the Eels in their first NRLW season, this club feels like home, and I’m incredibly grateful for the support from the fans, my teammates, and the staff.
"There’s a true sense of family here, and I’m looking forward to working hard under coach Steve Georgallis and helping contribute to the team’s success."
The pair are also hoping for a full season together in 2025. Rueben only managed one game in 2024 due to an ankle injury, while Kennedy featured in six matches before injuring her knee.
