The NSWRL is pleased to announce the following players have been selected in a NSW Under 16s Koori squad for a tour of Vanuatu in January.
The 18 players were selected following the NSWRL’s Talented Aboriginal Athlete Program (TAAP) camp that was held over four days in Mudgee last month.
The players selected are from across NSW including Central Coast (1), Far North Coast (2), Sydney (3), Mid North Coast (3), Newcastle region (4) and Western NSW (5).
TAAP, which was established by the late Steve 'Bear' Hall in 2004, aims to identify and nurture talented Aboriginal athletes and provide opportunities for them to develop their skills with previous matches held against Queensland Murri and New Zealand pathways teams.
