NSW Rugby League has reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots clubs by maintaining insurance fees for the 2026 season, despite ongoing cost-of-living pressures across the community.
At a time when many sporting organisations are increasing insurance costs, NSWRL has chosen to hold premiums steady, ensuring clubs are not faced with additional financial burden.
In further positive news, NSWRL will also return a rebate from 2025 insurance premiums to clubs. The rebate will be applied as a credit to the second instalment of 2026 insurance invoices, delivering a partial reduction in overall insurance costs.
This approach reflects NSWRL’s focus on affordability and sustainability, allowing clubs to continue investing in participation, development and community engagement at the grassroots level.
