NSWRL’s #RESPECT campaign celebrates its 10th year in 2026 with this year’s theme challenging the 700 Community Rugby League clubs across the state to take the lead for what respect looks like within their own communities and bring it to life.

Running from 22 April to 17 May, this year’s campaign “That’s My Club” places the spotlight firmly on the identity, culture and values that make each club unique.

Clubs are encouraged to think deeply about their environment and design an initiative that strengthens respect across all levels of the game, from players and coaches to volunteers, officials and supporters.

“This year’s campaign is about more than awareness, it is about action,” NSWRL Chief Executive David Trodden said.

“Every club is different, and “That’s My Club” is about celebrating those differences while reinforcing a shared commitment to respect across our game.”

The annual #RESPECT pledge plays a vital role in shaping positive environments across Rugby League in NSW, reinforcing the importance of inclusivity, sportsmanship and community pride.

The #RESPECT Round started in 2016 and continues to grow and get bigger each year aligning with the NSWRL’s vision to eliminate poor behaviour and promote a positive environment for all players, coaches, referees, volunteers, and families.

Last year’s campaign ‘Positive Words Have Power’ saw clubs focus on using positive language, but also refrain from using negative, derogatory or discriminatory words.

This year’s campaign will give clubs the platform to lead meaningful change and showcase the standards they stand for, while proudly acknowledging “That’s My Club”.

Clubs can take part in the 2026 #RESPECT Campaign by completing three simple steps:

1. Create a #RESPECT initiative that reflects what is important to your club and community.

2. Share a social media post showing what #RESPECT looks like at your club and how your initiative comes to life.

3. Complete the pledge form with a 100–250 word summary of your initiative, explaining how it supports respect for players, volunteers, officials, and supporters. Include your social media link(s).

Entries will be judged on creativity, impact and alignment with the campaign’s core message.

The top three submissions will be recognised, with the leading club awarded the prestigious 2026 NSWRL Danielle Kifooti #RESPECT Award.

Prizes include a Westpac NSW Blues signed jersey, the opportunity for a nominated team to attend a Westpac NSW Blues Captain’s Run, a $1000 Steeden voucher, and a $500 Adidas voucher.

Winners will be announced on Friday 22 May.
