NSW Under 16s Koori Squad named for Fiji tour

NSWRL is pleased to announce the following players have been selected in the NSW Under 16s Koori squad for a tour of Fiji next month.

The five-day tour will see the group come together to take part in training sessions, community and school visits, as well as two exhibition games of Rugby League against the Kaiviti Silktails development squad.

The squad of 18 have been selected from the recent NSWRL’s Talented Aboriginal Athlete Program (TAAP) camp held earlier this month at the NSWRL Centre of Excellence, with 12 members hailing from regional NSW locations.

Established in 2004 by the late Steve 'Bear' Hall, TAAP aims to identify and foster talented First Nations athletes, providing opportunities to develop their game and connect with culture.
