After the conclusion of a thrilling 2014 VB NSW Cup season, we take a look back at the top ten thrilling finishes from the year. Coming in at number ten is a lucky escape for the New Zealand Warriors when they clashed with the Cronulla Sharks in Gisborne, New Zealand in Round 14.

The VB NSW Cup visited Gisborne Rugby Park for the first time in 2014 and local fans were treated to a thrilling game of rugby league when the New Zealand Warriors clashed with the Cronulla Sharks.

In a low scoring affair, the Sharks went to the break with a 12-6 lead before a Dominique Peyroux try gave the Warriors a chance to level the game before Tuimoala Lolohea pushed the conversion wide to trail by two points.

Lolohea righted his wrongs with ten minutes remaining, slotting a penalty goal to draw level with the Sharks as the home crowd began to rise to the occasion and cheer the Warriors home.

Ngataua Hukatai was to become the hero for the Warriors with a last minute try that sent the crowd into raptures and provided a fitting end to a historic day for the VB NSW Cup.
