After the conclusion of a thrilling 2014 VB NSW Cup season, we take a look back at the top ten thrilling finishes from the year. Coming in at number eight is a see-sawing battle between Manly and Wentworthville in Round 3 that was decided on the final siren.

On a scorching day at Brookvale Oval in late March, Manly and Wentworthville went head-to-head in one of the most enetertaining games of the season. Chris Sandow was in fine form in the early stages of the match, breaking the Sea Eagles defence at will and leading his side to an 18-4 lead after only 20 minutes.

Unlike previous seasons, the Sea Eagles showed a steely resolve to fight their way back into the match through brillinat passges of play from Jayden Horo, Jayden Hodges, Clinton Gutherson and Tom Symonds to reduce the defecit to two points at half-time.

With both sides fighting hard to gain the advantage it was the Sea Eagles who snatched the lead through Jesse Sene-Lafao before Ben Jones produced the match winning try with only seconds remaining on the clock for a memorable Magpies victory.

Wentworthville Magpies 30 (B Jones 2, K Sio, C Sandow, J Ualesi tries; C Sandow 3, K Sio 2 goals) def. Manly Sea Eagles 28 (J Horo 2, J Mirceskie, J Hodges, J Sene Lefao tries; C Gutherson 4 goals) at Brookvale Oval.
