Few players were as gifted, powerful or elusive as former Cronulla Sharks superstar and NSW Origin hero Mark McGaw.

‘Sparkles’ played almost 200 top-grade games, 13 Origin matches for NSW and four Test matches for Australia – and he dominated at all levels of the game.

One part of a glamourous centre partnership alongside Andrew ‘ET’ Ettingshausen, McGaw hung up the boots a true champion of the game – and one of the most talented players of his era.

And what he did after his playing career captured almost as many headlines as what he did on the field.

Watch Sparkles chat exclusively with Steve ‘Blocker’ Roach on Turn Back Time, in the video above.

You can catch Turn Back Time, profiling NSWRL's greatest Origin players, each Thursday from 6pm exclusively on NSWRL.com.au.
