The Emerging Under-16s and Under-18s Blues squads came together in Narrabeen this week and were put through separate intense training sessions in sweltering conditions.

Performance Programs Manager Jamie Feeney, plus the likes of Brad Fittler and Paul Sironen put them through the grueling sessions in preparation for their respective upcoming junior State of Origin games.

The aim of the Emerging Blues camps and training sessions is to educate the young players on what to expect come Origin time, along with high-quality training to develop their skills for the Origin games and the upcoming junior representative season.

The Under-16s will play as a curtain raiser to Origin I at ANZ Stadium on June 1, while the Under-18s will travel up to Suncorp Stadium to play their game before Origin II on June 22.
