There are just 100 days left in the countdown to the first Origin match of 2016, played at ANZ Stadium, Sydney, on 1 June.
Laurie Daley's NSW VB Blues are determined to right the wrongs of Origin III last year - and, with two matches in Sydney across the 2016 series, are ready to put on a show for their home fans.
In conjunction with the milestone, the VB Blues have launched a fan-focussed “100 days of Origin” social media campaign, which will see supporters’ selfies featured daily on Twitter throughout the countdown. The innovative campaign highlights Daley's and the players' appreciation of their passionate supporters.
"It's important to recognise the loyalty of our supporters - the most passionate fanbase in Australian sport," Daley told NSWRL.com.au. "Our fans come from a number of different backgrounds and are based not only across NSW, but across the world. This campaign gives a nod to many of the Blues faithful in the lead-up to another highly-anticipated series."
To be a part, fans need only to Tweet a picture showing how they support the VB Blues with the team hashtag #uptheblues. NSWRL will select one selfie for each remaining day of the countdown.
