The New South Wales Rugby League and KARI strengthened their partnership earlier in the week when Tyrone Peachey unveiled the first ever Indigenous City Origin jersey.

KARI is the largest accredited Aboriginal Children’s service across Australia, and Chairman Gary Potts is proud for them feature on the front of the new look jersey.

The 2016 AAMI Country-City clash will take place at the newly renovated Scully Park in Tamworth on May 8, and will effectively act as a State of Origin trial.

Launching the new look strip adds to the annual contest, with the jersey acknowledging and honouring the sacred sites and unique history of ancient Gamilaroi Country.
