Greenberg Welcomed As NRL CEO
New South Wales Rugby League Chairman Dr George Peponis OAM, CEO David Trodden and the NSWRL Board have welcomed the appointment today of Todd Greenberg as the new CEO of the National Rugby League.
Trodden said Greenberg is an outstanding sports administrator and the perfect choice to lead the game because of his great passion for and understanding of Rugby League.
“I have worked with him in previous roles in clubland and as Head of Football and I value our working relationship,” Trodden said.
“He is impeccably qualified for the CEO role and I look forward to working closely with him.”
NSWRL Chairman Dr George Peponis OAM said: “It’s a great appointment. His knowledge of the NRL from his time as Head of Football, on top of his knowledge of clubland as CEO of an NRL club gives him an understanding of Rugby League in general all the way to grassroots. That will be a great benefit to the game.
“He is also a man who, in my experience, will listen and give you an opportunity to have a say. He may not agree with you, but he will listen to you.
“Clearly he is also admired by his colleagues and working staff which you could see by the huge applause he got when the appointment was announced to the staff.”
