Mounties, Redfern All Blacks and Greenacre continue to dominate the top of the SMWRL ladder after Round 13 of the competition. With just one week left of the regular season and some catch-up matches to be played Mounties (22 points), Redfern All Blacks (21) and Greenacre (20) have all sealed a place in the top three which guarantees them a second chance in the top five Semi-Finals commencing on August 20.

This week saw last year’s Premiers Greenacre come from behind to score a convincing win over the star-studded Cronulla-Caringbah side which boasts a large number of representative players fresh from their victory over Queensland in the Interstate match.

The Division 2 competition has also developed a clear top three with Glenmore Park, Minchinbury and Berala all well ahead of their opponents. However, with only four teams progressing to the Semi-Finals, Berala and Minchinbury will be desperate to secure second place and a spot in the Major Semi-Final against Glenmore Park who are almost assured of the Minor Premiership.
