Earlier in the year, The Star hosted a Best In Blue competition to determine the best NSW State of Origin side in history.
Turvey’s Trailblazers, Laurie’s Legends and Gal’s Drought Breakers were three of the teams, but they were no match for Joey and Bedsy’s Heroes of 2003-2005, who came out on top in the public vote.
Andrew Johns and Danny Buderus were on hand at The Star for the special presentation, but they were joined by former teammates, including Craig Wing, Shaun Timmins, Matt King and Anthony Minichiello.
