It was another exciting day in Blues camp yesterday (Sunday) as the boys hit the training paddock for their most intense session yet.
Joined by the Under-20s Holden Cup Gold Coast Titans side, the NSW VB Blues were put through their paces in an opposed session in preparation for Wednesday’s series opener.
Following the training session the side flexed their muscles at the local gym before returning to the team hotel, enjoying a relaxed afternoon watching the NRL Raiders-Roosters fixture.
With three Roosters players in the Blues side, it was probably an afternoon they’d like to forget after their side went down to Canberra in the nation’s capital
Room-mates Aaron Woods and David Klemmer enjoyed a late lunch at one of Kingscliff’s many nice cafes, while others including Jarryd Hayne, Nathan Peats, Andrew Fifita and Jack Bird enjoyed their own little games night, playing cards and FIFA Football on Playstation 4.
Today (Monday), outside of captain Cordner’s morning media call, the boys enjoyed the day away from training.
Some took to the local beaches, while others took advantage of the rest day, recovering by the pool at the team hotel.
