In an act that resembled one of the VB Blues most memorable moments, Jarryd Hayne announced his return to the Origin arena in emphatic style - celebrating a match-sealing try, embracing the travelling NSW fans.
Speaking of his return to the Blues fold, Hayne said he couldn't be prouder of the unit assembled by coach Laurie Daley.
"It was very special, [the fans] are very special, they pumped me up, they mean everything to us," Hayne said.
"We've got a really good group, the boys are really humble, they're all focussed.
"To get the win down in Sydney [in Game II], it'd be very special."
