Debutant hooker Nathan Peats spoke with NSWRL.com.au of his mammoth effort in his maiden Origin outing, having played 80 minutes in the cauldron that is Suncorp Stadium.
Amassing 53 tackles in a memorable performance, Peats wrapped his first start in the sky blue of his state in style.
"It's a massive feeling right now, it's overwhelming, I'm just so happy," Peats said of the win.
"It was a hard-fought win, we worked hard to get the lead and to hold on to the lead, and I think that the 'one-percenters' that we were doing really well, that's why we finished over the top."
