After a Man-of-the-Match performance in Origin I, Andrew Fifita was unable to have the same impact in Game Two, with fewer carries and a willing Queensland defence working well against him. Aaron Woods, however, believes his fellow starting prop can recapture that form in the series decider.
"They attacked him pretty hard when we were attacking with the ball," Woods says, speaking to media at the team's Kingscliff hotel this morning. "He's ready for a big game. He's probably disappointed that he didn't get enough ball, like he said earlier, but I'm sure he's ready and raring to go.
"He's been a little bit crook early on but he's got enough rest for Wednesday."
While Woods cited a minor flu complaint which had affected Fifita in recent days, the Cronulla forward is healed and excited for a blockbuster game next Wednesday night. Woods also discussed the make-up of the Maroons' Game Three side, where it went wrong for the VB Blues in Game Two and, as Josh Jackson did this morning, emphasised the high likelihood of Boyd Cordner and Tyson Frizell taking the field.
