AROUND THE GROUNDS | Jersey Flegg - Round 3

The Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs have secured their second consecutive win for the season, defeating the Wests Tigers 38-24.

Bulldogs winger Frank Kuresa had another impressive performance scoring two tries to assist his side to victory.

Wests Tigers wingers’ Liam Scolari and Kane Bradley both scored a double but it wasn’t enough for the Tigers, leaving them 14-points short.

Blake Clayton and Isaiah Tass worked together to secure the win in the 58th

minute after Clayton found space down the left side and passed to Tass who finished the job under the posts.

Jake Averillo starred with kicking duties after successfully kicking two penalty goals and five conversions helping the Bulldogs to extend their lead.  Averillo followed up with a good conversion rate, for the second week in a row after kicking six from six last week against the Parramatta Eels.

The strong start to the season leaves the Bulldogs in a good position in second place on the ladder and will play the North Sydney Bears next week at North Sydney Oval.
