Former and current staff, players and volunteers from the Milperra Colts will be watching tonight's Challenge Cup final with great anticipation as the opposition coaches are both juniors of the club.

Steve Price (Warrington) and Justin Holbrook (St Helens) will face off on the other side of the world tonight in one of the most prestigious games of Rugby League on the planet, played annually since 1896.

The Milperra Colts, who are a recognised Blue Shield club within the NSW Rugby League, is where it all began for these coaches.

“We played together and won the Under-7s grand final. I can remember the day clearly," Price said to The Sun

“We played against Bankstown Sports and Justin was the one who scored all the tries — but I came up with the plan for him.

“I was dictating where we needed to move the ball and he was scoring them.

“My uncle, Neil Johnson, was coach and my dad Chicka was manager. Now I’m coaching against Justin at Wembley.”

The Blue Shield program is a Junior Club recognition and development program developed to assist Junior Rugby League Clubs with the management and improvement of their Clubs.
