As part of the New South Wales Rugby League and Country Rugby League merger process, both Referees Associations – the Country Rugby League Referees Association and New South Wales Rugby League Referees Association - have begun negotiations to form one body to control refereeing across the state of NSW.
Negotiations will continue and will look to be finalised by 30 June 2020.
The development and board composition will be similar to the process that is being followed by both CRL and NSWRL working towards merging into a single entity.
Country Rugby League Chairman John Anderson said: “We put our support behind a single refereeing entity governing the game in New South Wales and look forward to both bodies working together now and in the future.”
