Between the Posts: Blues brighten up Bega, Grandpa 'Blocker'

Between the Posts is your weekly update of what’s happening in the lives of our past, present and future Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues players.

Blues brighten up Bega

Last weekend some of the Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues players visited the town of Bega on the south coast of NSW, as part of the EISS Super Sapphire trial tribute between Penrith Panthers and Parramatta Eels.

The respective teams visited schools and communities within the area to spread some cheer and happiness over the bushfire-affected community.

Cleary’s boot makes a special fan very happy

NSW halfback Nathan Cleary gave away his boot after the trial against the Eels to a young girl, Diana, in the crowd. Instead of keeping the prized possession for herself, she gave it away to her good friend Cathy, a big fan of the Panthers No.7.

When six-year-old Diana received Nathan Cleary's signed boot after full-time in Bega, the first person she thought of was her friend Cathy. ❤️ #pantherpride 🐾

Grandpa ‘Blocker’

True Blue Steve ‘Blocker’ Roach had a reputation as a hard man during his career, but this week’s we saw a much softer side from the former front-rower.

His grand-daughter Isla Anna Roach was brought into the world and is definitely easier on-the-eye then the big man himself.
