The NSWRL congratulates Karra-Lee Nolan after she was selected to be part of an all-female officiating team for the Ampol Women’s State of Origin match at Sunshine Coast on Friday night.

Nolan has been selected as a touch judge alongside Kailey Beattie while Belinda Sharpe has been appointed to referee the match at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

“Karra-Lee has worked hard over the last year on many aspects of her game as well as her physical condition to be able to keep up with the demands of the game puts on an official,” NSWRL Referees High Performance Manager Stuart Raper said.

“She is an established part of our squad and has been officiating in the Ron Massey Cup and Sydney Shield this year.

“The NSWRL congratulates her on her well-deserved appointment and wishes her all the very best for the match tomorrow night.”

Nolan made history last year when she became the first female official in NSWRL history to control a Grand Final after she was appointed for the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership decider between Central Coast Roosters and North Sydney Bears.
