Representative front-rower and True Blue Aaron Woods has inked a one-year deal with St George Illawarra Dragons for their upcoming NRL campaign, adding valuable experience to Anthony Griffin’s forward stocks in 2022.
Woods, who boasts 233 games in the NRL, debuted for the Wests Tigers in 2011 before stints at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
The 30-year-old prop has represented Australia on 17 occasions and NSW 14 times. He was part of the NSW Blues that claimed the 2014 State of Origin series and also represented Australia when they won the Rugby League World Cup in 2017.
Dragons General Manager of Football Ben Haran said the club was looking forward to what the veteran prop can offer, along with their other recent signings.
"We look forward to the arrival of Aaron and Jack (Gosiewski), in addition to other key personnel, ahead of the upcoming season," Haran said.
"They will complement the development of our younger players and add another dimension to our evolving forward pack."
