Fittler, NSW Police team up for Straight Outta Lockdown

Brydens Lawyers NSW Blues coach Brad Fittler will team up with a host of True Blues, NRL and NRLW stars, and the NSW Police on Saturday 27 November to support an important youth engagement program, “Straight Outta Lockdown”, following the recent lockdown due to COVID-19.

Fittler and True Blues Willie Mason, Paul Sironen and Steve Roach, Sky Blue Ruan Sims, NRL players Cody Ramsey, Jack Martin, Tom Hazelton and Jonah Laulau, former NRL player Reni Maitua and South Sydney Rabbitohs Harvey Norman Women's players will be spread across seven Police and Community Youth Clubs (PCYC) in the Sydney area as well as a Marrickville park.

The event, run in partnership with Youth Off The Streets and Rotary International, will target youths from Year 6 to Year 10. It will run from 4pm-8pm and will include games of Monarch Blues Tag, activities and food stalls.

“NSW Police reached out to the NSWRL to come up with some ways to reconnect with youths who may have been affected from the recent lockdown because of COVID-19,” Fittler said.

“I’ve been working with PCYC for a while now and this is a great initiative for kids to get together with other kids their own age and have some fun.

“Make sure you get down to your local PCYC on Saturday, make sure you say hello to all the Rugby League stars who are there and who knows? You might just score a try against them and have something to tell all your friends about!”
