The NSWRL has acknowledged its rich history in the latest PUMA jersey for the Westpac NSW Blues with the NSWRL crest superimposed in the background across the iconic sky blue strip.
Westpac NSW Blues winger Brian To’o recently attended the NSWRL Centre of Excellence for a fun shoot to promote the new jersey. As well as a sublimation print of the NSWRL crest, the slim fit strip includes a NSW Blues laser badge, the PUMA cat logo, sublimated sponsor logos and structured fabric.
“The NSWRL is thrilled by the inclusion of the NSWRL crest on the new jersey for the Westpac NSW Blues as it pays homage to our proud history,” NSWRL Chief Commercial Officer Jodie Cross said.
“The NSWRL has several core values, including inheritance and legacy, and we always strive to build on our reputation as one of the premier sporting brands in Australia.”
The NSWRL was founded on 8 August 1907, with interstate games starting against Queensland the following year before the concept was rebranded into State of Origin in 1980.
The Westpac NSW Blues were gallant in defeat in the 2022 series and will be looking to return the Origin Shield to NSW in 2023.
PUMA has been a global leader in athletic apparel and footwear since 1948 and partners some of the biggest sporting names and clubs across the globe including the Westpac NSW Blues, Manchester City, footballer Neymar Jr, Ferrari, cricketer Virat Kohli, golfer Rickie Fowler and NBA star LaMelo Ball.
