NSWRL TV season preview

The popular NSWRL TV live stream for various competitions and grades across the state will again be a feature of the 2023 coverage of Rugby League.

Last season a total of 186 games were streamed with more than 2.8 million fans tuning in to catch all the action. The minutes-watched figure was almost 7.8 million.

This year NSWRL TV is back boasting a schedule that will showcase talent from both genders in Under 16s all the way through to the premier competitions of The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup and the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership.

NSW Cup increases to 13 teams in 2023, while the Women’s Premiership rises from nine to 11 teams.

In addition to one game each week streamed for these two major competitions, there will also be one UNE Harold Matthews (Under 17s), UNE SG Ball (Under 19s) and Harvey Norman Tarsha Gale Cup (Under 19s) broadcast.

The 2023 schedule also includes:

-        All SLE Laurie Daley Cup (Under 18s) games

-        All SLE Andrew Johns Cup games (Under 16s)

-        Select other games such as Wheelchair State of Origin, Jersey Flegg (Under 21s)

-        Men’s and Women’s Country Championships

-        City v Country games

-        Finals series for all above competitions, alongside Ron Massey Cup (state’s second-tier) and Sydney Shield (third-tier) games

“The growth of the NSWRL competitions moves from strength to strength each year and that’s reflected in the figures we see for our NSWRL TV games every week,” NSWRL Chief Commercial Officer Jodie Cross said.

“There are more eyes watching our game whether they are in the stands or at home on their devices.

“We are trying to meet that need by providing as comprehensive coverage as we can.”

The weekly NSWRL TV schedule from each round will be posted on nswrl.com.au and NSWRL socials every Friday.
