NSWRL TV Preview | Johns & Daley Cup Semi finals showdowns

Fullback and goal-kicker Jackson Rieck is one of the key hopes for Illawarra South Coast Dragons starting their SLE Laurie Daley Cup Under 18s premiership defence in the right fashion.

The Dragons take on the Northern Tigers in the Semi-finals at Collegians Sporting Complex in Wollongong, kicking off at 10am on Sunday (19 March).

The other Laurie Daley Cup Semi-final is between the Newcastle Maitland Region Knights and the Monaro Colts at Wyong’s Morry Breen Oval on Saturday (18 March) at 12pm.

Both games will be live streamed on NSWRL TV with the winners moving through to the Grand Final on Saturday 25 March at Woy Woy.

Rieck has been central to the Dragons success in 2023 finishing top of the Southern Conference.

His talk at the back is essential, he’s scored three tries, and he’s kicked 21 goals in five games.

Lock Palu Tausla scoring a hat-trick in the Round One win over the Riverina Bulls, and winger Toby Rumble also getting a hat-trick himself in the Round Four win over the Western Rams, has helped the Dragons’ quest to win back-to-back SLE Laurie Daley Cups.

The NMR Knights have also qualified for the SLE Andrew Johns Cup Under 16s Semi-final against the Monaro Colts, while the second Semi-final has Macarthur Wests Tigers up against the Central Coast Roosters.

Those two matches will also be live streamed on NSWRL TV.
